1. With summer here, it’s so important we protect our skin from the sun. As we age, our skin barrier becomes thinner and this means burns can occur much more quickly. We like to remember the 5 S's of Sun Protection:
SLIP on a long sleeve shirt
SIP extra fluids
SLOP on sunscreen
SLAP on a wide-brimmed hat
SHADE from the sun whenever possible
Please ensure that if our caregivers are taking you of your family member for walks, there is sunscreen accessible in the house.
